Yep, Carroll Smith has three books, Engineer To Win, Tune To Win, and Prepare To Win, with the first one dealing with chassis design and some development. I found it quite easy to read and understand too - gives a good general overview of the important nails to hit on the head. i haven't read the third (Prepare To Win), but I believe it goes more into driver attributes and mental and physical preparation, so may not be applicable to your request?

"Race Car Chassis, Design and Construction" by Forbes Aird, and also "Fibreglass and Composite Materials" by the same author.

Don't read any of them when you're tired or distracted - it only means you'll have to read them again!!! Let me know if there is any are you specifically want covered as most of my books are still packed away. I can help you with all the gardening questions you may have though!!!
