This is a very easy option which I have now chosen as my new project after selling the sprinter.
AE71 crossmemeber is a straight bolt up which means the 4A transplant is a piece of cake, you will also need a T50 from the AE71 or a sprinter, and the sprinter tailshaft, or you could customise the KE/AE71 tailshaft to fit the new diff. The borg warner bolt spacings on the end of the tailshaft dont match and I wouldnt use a B/W behind any 4A unless its the C variant
As far as difs go I would look at getting something that allready has disc brake on it to save time later on , its really easy to find matches once you start looking around.
Front brakes are easy to upgrade and the booster so far has been up to the task with the bigger piston calipers, I would look at putting MX62 strutts or similar in (theres an article that I wrote on the website about doing this) as they are a lot bigger than the stock sprinter venteds.
You will also need to get a AE71 pedal box, clutch master, slave and either use the AE71 line or get a custom one made up ($60) to run the gearbox, I picked up my pedal box for $30 from P&PL
If you need any further advice you can contact me at IRA11Y@hotmail.com
If you are in Sydney feel free to pop by and Ill show you how it all comes together
