tercelboy Regular Location: Townsville, Queensland Registered: September 2002	Re: wanted > corolla 4wd Sun, 18 January 2004 02:05 The Tercel has its engine mounted conventionally (normal RWD way even though the Tercel is a FWD/4WD). AE82's are tranversley mounted (normal way for a FWD). Putting an AE82 4AGE into a Tercel would envolve either getting a RWD inlet manifold (off a genuine GE RWD not many) as the FWD off the AE82 would point into the fire wall, or get it cut and shut the other way. Then run a new exhaust on the passenger side as the Tercel runs on the drivers side. (plus other things, probably sump etc). However cause any 4AGE out of an AE86 would be setup for convetional mounting it would be the easiest to go in cause the throttle body would not point into the firewall. Sort of get what I am saying? If you can get an AE82 GE cheap enough than go for it and get the manifold modded to fit, fit an electric fuel pump etc etc. Look for a 4A-C to 4A-GE or GZE guide on how to swap an Aussy AE86 4A-C to a 4A-GE from a front wheel drive.
