no idea n the ecu side of things...
you realise that oxygen sensor and pryometer are two completely distinct sensors?
oxygen sensor is a zirconia senser that measure oxygen content indirectly by the surrent generate across the nernst(sp?) cell
pyrometer is just a thermocouple. thermocouples have two dissimilar metal wires attached at one end. when the point where they connect is heated, a voltage is generated across them. there are thermocouple lookup tables for the different types around the net. type R is too hot for you (13-1500max), type N... maybe too hot (about 1200max), but K typeis okay at lower temps, and can go to 1000C.
just go and get a K-type thermocouple made up, short, with stainless steel sheath, and threaded fitting (maybe 18x1.5 so you can plug it into O2 sensor fitting). then you will also need a thermocouple reader, which are not expensive at all..
should have a good pyrometer setup for under $150
