ozslotter Newcomer Registered: January 2004	Re: 89 AE93 SX Corolla Mon, 19 January 2004 02:13 yep that's the one. ti doesn't misfire or surge for minutes it's probably around the 15-20 second mark but normally goes away if I downshift from say 5th gear to 4th than go straight back to 5th as it mainly happens on the open road. I'm replacing the coil lead this week I think it might be that otherwise I might have to get the EFI looked at. It's a shame coz when the car is going fine it goes really well. I'm thinking of getting the enigne reconditioned as the car has done over 220,000kms I have just put a new clutch in 20,000k's ago and I was also thinkink about getting the EFI serviced than I will look at getting more power out of it thanks guys for your help I was unaware of how popular these cars are. Do local mechanincs do that kind of work for sway bars and that sought of thing is that more the suspension specialist. [Updated on: Mon, 19 January 2004 02:18] [Report message to a moderator]
