I have a non-turbo manual 86.5 ma70 as well and i am very interested in doing the 1jz conversion as my 7mge has travelled some kays.(i to dreamed of a 2jz). can i ask you how much it cost you all up. how much of it did you do yourself. how much was the half cut and where did you get it from. how many kilometers should i expect the engine to have on it. can you/ did you use the 5 speed from your 7m or did you have to use the trans from the halfcut as i have been told that they are slightly different. do you have to get this sort of thing engineered. did you use aftermarket fuel/timing management?
