im actually doing this swap this week, its fairly basic, no modfication needed, just pull out the 2t and drop in the 2tg,
its my first engine swap effort, and not proving to be too difficult,
all you really need is:
a flat area to work on
engine stands and jack
strong wrenchs (10,12,13,14,17mm i think)
sockets (same sizes as above) with ratchet and extension bar
flat head screw driver
a few pans/ cardboard to catch and collect coolant and oil
an engine crane/ hoist of some sort
old towels/rags
hacksaw
wd40
a lot of things most people have, and not too expensive to buy,
an engine crane is $300
other stuff can be had for $100-200
some modifications to throttle linkages (or cable setup from later celica)
other than that allow a few fulls days, and with some sense and patience its pretty easy stuff
