i'd say that in qld you'll need the exhaust exiting after the rear wheels, after any windows and probably even out the back.
get a muffler place to build you one to suit - mine is 2 3/4 inch from dump pipe back - made out of press bends- has flange before the hump over the diff and flange after the dump pipe..
you might find they have a pre-bent (sub 3") exhaust system that can be joined to the dump pipe with a flange - then remove the end muffler and weld on a lukey turbo muffler or similar so your legal but still not chockingthe exhaust.
you will probably need cat and turbo muffler to be quiet enuf.
