While not boosting your car will still heat up the oil, it wont do it such extent that should need bother to let it cool down. Basically at you should not run your car in boost until it is at normal operating temerature or close enough. As for cooling down your going to get hundreds of different of answers.
I personally think from anywhere between 1 to 3 minutes but longer is always going to be better. Time is going to depend alot of how you have beening driving your car. Think about your drive a bit and stop phanging your car as much when you are going to come to a stop soon. That way you dont have to wait as long.
