Speed limits are posted for a reason , at the end of the day whether you or I think they are right or wrong means a whole lot of nothing. As a driver your obligated by law to follow them and not use your own judgement to work out the safest speed to travel.
This is a forum so if i want to give my opinion i will wether you want it or not

That may be true, but I would suggest that there are better ways to get your point across that coming into a thread and spouting off moral arguments. He's done his "time" so I would say keep your mouth shut.
