After further investigation,iv'e come up with some unusual discoveries.
1.With the car going I removed the entire intake pipe so i could see inside the throttle body. Now looking at the throttle body on the airbox side(with the butterfly closed, sitting at idle basically) there is three little holes visible. The one that is closer to the engine (not the firewall) was actually seaping oil out of it.As soon as i wiped it clean,it would seap out again.

2.Firstly Iv'e put a 4age 100kw engine in my car from the standard 88kw.On the 100kw cam covers you have a little exit pipe(the cover closet to the inlet manifold).Off this there was a little black piece of hose which ran up to another little pipe which came out of the inlet manifold.According to the corolla workshop manual this is called positive crancase ventilation.Where built up or excess combustion gas which escapes into the head is recirculated into the inlet manifold for combustion again. There is supposed to be a PCV valve which controls the flow of excess gas and stops the oil from reaching into the inlet manifold.WHERE THE HELL IS THE VALVE? in the pipe it is clear and on the cam covers it's clear. Is it in the inlet manifold???? Also there is greasy oil residue in the hose and a bit of gunk in the little pipe on both sides (cam cover and inlet manifold)

3.I've changed the cam covers over to some flashly red powdercoated ones. The cam covers i have are obviously special ones. There is no little pipe coming out of any cam cover,a threaded pipe has been welded into the bottom one(closest to the radiator).I attached a piece of hose with a threaded fitting at one end to the cam cover and then the other end back up to the inlet manifold pipe.I Put a PCV Valve in this inline with this hose which i got from Auto1.

4.Also if it is runnig rich, how do you adjust the mixtures. You can't can you? Everytime i take it to the mechanics it comes back the same. My engine is map sensored so i can't adjust it.Wolu d i have to spend $500 and get some sort of fuel management computer

SO TRY AND FIGURE THIS ONE OUT GUYS.
I'm sick of wasting my money on mechanics for them to tell me it's just runnig rich, when i discovered this on the weekend,i don't know what to do.Should i just ditch this engine and go and get another from the importers???

Cheers Adrian
