Quote: | put the multimeter on 20k
anything from 5k to 15 k resistance in the lead is ok
usually leads will either be good or open circuit
and if one lead is bad replace them all
the rest will go soon aswell

Thanks mate! I tried it in 20k and it showed nothing. It just came up with a 1 which I thought was too high reading for that setting? Sorry I don't know that much about the impedance settings
So if it was on the 20k setting it should show up anywhere between 5-15 on the screen?
