I got some fibreglass matting (the type you use for fibreglass repairs of your car - minus the resin) from the hardware shop in an effort to insulate over the turbo heat shields. It doesn't seem to burn, and you can get woven sheets. The muffler wrap is also fibreglass, but cost a lot more (but is thicker).
