Exactly to draven and Sideshow

Unless boxed in and ducted to a cold air ram from outside of the engine bay - a pofd is a waste of time .. your sucking in hot air ..

What makes a car happier - hot air + fuel , or cold air and fuel ..

A panel filter - in a stock airbox - with some simple ducting will be more effective in most applications .

Take the VN commodore airbox for example ..

its very well designed in the way it works from what i hear, and is widely used in induvtion applications outside of commodores..

My Gt4 is another example ..

theres a perfectly good 50mm outlet hidden away under the fender that isnt utilised from the factory ..

ive used this as a cold air ram/inlet - fed straight into the airbox - and i will be using a better panel filter UNTIL i can afford to relocate the battery to the boot and make a boxed in pod filter , using the same inlet ..

if you like noise but no real performance gain - go pod and suck inthat hot air..

if you want performance - use panel + existing airbox + CAI feed - Or seal Pod in box + CIA ..

Simple
