just to muddy the water a little, has anybody got opinions re: foam+oil filter versus a cotton+oil filter?
i've replaced the Finer Filter air-filter (on the 18RC+turbo) with a K&N pod (tapering-outwards sides with flat end).
maybe it's the other things i fixed at the same time, but it seems to breath better (plus induction sound is clearer but not any louder) and i'm using less fuel.
i was probably over-oiling the FF but it was a PITA to work around as everytime you touched it you got sticky-blue shit everywhere...it stunk when the engine bay heat-soaked in traffic and it took a day to clean the bugger as you had to wait for the kero to evaporate.
