<big snip>
Programmable computer piggybacked onto standard ECU to run fuel and ignition.

Money is an object Smile

budget version then?

-Megsquirt - squirt-n-spark version (aux air hard wired to cold-start sensor and A/C controller only)
-k-dog's sequential gearbox controller

a groupbuy megsquirt costs you about $350 - you have to join the oz megasquirt list to find out when next buy is happening.

k-dog's controller costs $350 - plus what ever work you do to the gearbox - works on A340E/A341E/A342E gearboxes.

both of these require skill in building/wiring electrical equipment - plus allow another $300 for bits-n-pieces.

ECU is tuned with a laptop - if the engine has a dizzi, you lock any mechanicals in it and use the reluctor sensing 6 triggers per dizzi revolution - if it's coilpacks, then import 6cyl EDIS parts from the US and run squirt-n-EDIS code on the ECU.

i'll be doing this with my 1G-GTE and running the auto box as a sequential unit.
