if u have rooted the crank u r fucked, u will have to get another crank, another new engine or have the crank fixed $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$ 
what are the other pulleys for, ancillaries or the timing belt.
i dont know jack about 4A's but soem cars have the keyway only in the crank gear and a little dowel in the front of that gear that aligns the balancer, so u may have to get a new balancer, gear and crank and key
