The rules are a bit silly when it comes to 2 piece shafts. The rules are that it must be within 6 or so inches of the front uni, but the front shaft doesn't have a rear uni, so it can't really drop down if it snaps at the front.
The rear shaft does have a uni at the front & the back, so if the front one snapped it could drop down & catapault the car, so if you were to put a loop in, this would prolly be the best place for it, within 6 inches behind he front uni of the rear shaft.
The scrutineers were rather lax about the loops last year when it came to late model performance cars & early models but with small/NA motors. They never even looked at mine.
But that doesn't mean they'll be the same this year....
