I mainly use stratties cds which cost me a whopping 33c each!
I usually listen to them for a few months, then get bored and never listen to them again.
ATM I do have originals in my stacker, about 5 of them IIRC.
I'll try and burn the Michael Jackson one and see if I can sense a difference.
I woulndt have thought you would have because you arent compressing the data, its a direct digital transfer, but hey, if you ca hear a difference, they must be inferior
I can only burn at 16x, and I would believe that burning at 48x or so would lose quality.
I know really cheap cd players won't read anything burnt over about 24x, and the slower you burn them, the less chance of skipping.
Also the higher the quality blanks you use, the quicker the laser picks them up, so I guess you'd get better quality there. For instance, I have a few Pioneer cds, and my deck picks up the sound within 1 second of being turned on, just like a bought cd, but my stratties cds can take upwards of 5 seconds before the laser reads it properly.
But go figure this, my stacker doesnt care, it picks up any cd within 2 seconds, even the shitty ones
