Sure the 20valve is a great head for natural aspiration. Its has small ports to create high air velocity to optimise cylinder filling under atmospheric pressure/cylinder vacuum. That is why it can make such good power from a relatively small N/A 1600cc. But what if you have a turbo or supercharger forcing air into the head? Suddenly N/A port tuning and atmospheric pressure cylinder filling become purely academic. When forced induction is added it becomes a case of stuffing as much air into the engine as possible, this is why the bigport head in my opinion is a superior forced induction head [Report message to a moderator]
