slydar Regular Location: qld Registered: December 2003	Re: Fuel setup for 4AGE in AE86 Wed, 04 February 2004 04:53 in my last sprinter i at first i had the surge tank in the "boot" with the lift pump and efi pump there also. noisy, smelly, and definately not legal. i still put up with it though, until i wanted to sell the car. my solution then was to have a much smaller surge tank made up, which was fitted over on the passenger side of the car, there is a small triangularish shaped area behind a chassis cross brace. i ran all my lines along and mounted my fuel pumps to this. the exhaust runs close to this area too, so i made up a heat shield also. so there is JUST enough room to run a surge tank under the car, if you want to.
