form the green toyota manual for a 2tg it gives an idle of 1000rpm.
but realy i think that this could be adjusted to personal preferance.
my 2tgeu runs with no oxy sensor.

also teh green bible states 10deg BTD for the timining, but with a pod filter and extractors as my only mods,i run 18^deg BTD with no probs at all.

as already suggested check out you water temp sensors and you cold start.
aslo check you earths etc and you ecu.
my ecu blew out once, basicly leaving the injectors wide open(i was driving on teh freeway when it happend and was accelerating up to 100Kph).i could crank teh engine a few times, unplug teh injectors adn then get it to run for about a minute or so just on teh fuel that was being dumped into teh cylinders...so anyway that was a bit off the track!!
sorry.

cheers,
Dom
