For instance, the same base colour can be produced using different mixes of different pigments, and may look the same under certain lighting conditions but a different as black and white in different light (or dark). Even getting the daytime match can be hard, as the paint on a fifteen to twenty year old car will have faded slightly (or more than slightly) over time. Furthermore, as the new paint and old paint age, the inconsistency in aging patterns may cause noticable differences to develop over time. It's also difficult to graduate a repair seam into the original paintwork without it being noticeable. If you're doing it, I'd definately be doing the lot at once for consistency now and as the car ages. [Report message to a moderator]
