Dude,

I know how you feel with the 4afc, I have one Smile.

I wanted to modify mine, but in the end it would not be worth it without throwing serious cash at it, and even then...

One thing to consider is, there isn't a lot of room for an air filter to sit ontop of the carb as it is, so you would need to fabricate one off to the side over the transmission, or move the washer bottle over there, and put a filter where the washer bottle is, and direct cold air to that, there is a hole down under the original snorkel, I have not physically seen to where it leads... You may be able to use it for something.

Test the noisyness of the engine by removing the top of the air filter housing, and screwing the nut back down over the filter, to hold it in place, go for a drive and rev it out. Your ears will buzz hhehe. sounds good at lowish revs.

I'll make some sounds soon and put them up for y'all to laugh at, err listen to. You'll possibly be able to tell me how many problems my 4afc has!

By the way dude. How does your 4AFC handle in the cold mornings? Like a dog?
