I know an electronic one can also blow an engine if you set it incorrectly... but it's possible for a machanical one to over boost without user interuption.... it's just not as easy for the electronical one.. and even for an electronical one.. I'd only suggest AVCR as that's the only one that support multi level boosting that I've never heard of any complain of... the engine usually cost a lot... I'd pay a bit more on this kind of mod to save money from repairing the engine
