Quote: | Ohhh yeah really nice of you to give credit where its due
geeezz look at this on your site where have i seen those before
I seem to remember some people spending a bit of time working them out and then welding them up and then taken the photos, handing out the information to you and then there "Your mounts"
Really shits me off when people are quick to shit-can somebody and very slow to give thanks

You, sir, are an absolute dickhead - you may wish to pull your head out of your arse. Before you go bagging anyone out, I suggest that you check your facts.
The picture you posted shows the engine mounts for Giant Tomato's 2JZGE Mark II, this much you obviously know. Dave was kind enough to offer to have his mounts copied and sent up to me, however this did NOT happen as he was uncontactable for around a month - conveniently the exact time when I needed the mounts.
I made my own engine mounts, and the only real assistance I had was from Wastegate (also of these forums) who was there helping me by cutting out some of the pieces I had marked out. When Nick (Wastegate) was unavailable later on, I received a small bit of assistance from a couple of other PerformanceForums members for cutting out a few bits of steel plate.
It would seem that you are the one too quick to criticise. If you had actually been aware of other Internet sites, and not so quick to bag me, you would know that I have made numerous mentions of other people's assistance, posted thanks, and even posted a picture of Wastegate doing some of the cutting work. For your reference, see him in action here:

And a couple of quotes from posts I have made on other forums:
Quote: | I have also fitted the 2JZGTE water pump (thanks Stenno!).
|
Quote: | One engine mount is sorted, and the other should be done tomorrow. It has been a bit tricky without Nick as a helper.
|
Quote: | Nick and I headed off and had the engine there a little after lunch.
|
Quote: | Before heading home I dropped in at the workshop (Extreme Custom Engineering in Coopers Plains) of a guy who was recommended to me by a friend last night. As luck would have it, I have stumbled onto a good thing here! I got quoted the princely sum of $80 to modify the sump as requested... and after offering him another $20 he agreed to have it done for me by close of business today, and was even happy for me to pick it up from his house after hours as I was running late in traffic. Sump came up fantastically...
|
Quote: | I got up this morning at 9:30 to find a message on my phone - the tailshaft was already finished, and for only $121.00!! I have had equally good service on my three prior visits, so this is a big 'thumbs up' for Gibbs Truck & Trailer Parts on the Gold Coast.
|
Quote: | Nick was up to help with the cleaning and to pick up his tools
|
Quote: | The hoses will be finished tomorrow...I will be recommending this guy to Norbie, that's for sure!
|
So you see, Allan, you have been shut down fairly solidly here - perhaps in future you should consider not wasting your (and other people's) time criticising people when it is not due.
