2TG/3T hybred what pistons

i have a 2t3t hybred using a 260 2TG head. because of excess blow by i have removed the head to start rebuilding it but noticed it has 3T pistons in it which look a little flatter (lower comp) than the 2TG ones that i remember.
Can i use 2TG pistons safely?
Will it up my compression?
or am i just seeing things that may not be true?
