I bled the clutch yesterday and used gravity to assist, since pumping the clutch wasn't helping. Basically open the valve, push the clutch in and leave it there for a few minutes. The fluid will slowly come out, and air pockets should remove themselves. This was actually more effective than pumping the pedal.
