Getting standard bolts isn't a problem, but he obviously wants the superior ARP studs (as I do). I can confirm the 22R studs/bolts DO NOT fit in an 18R-G; they're too long. Apparently it's possible to have long studs shortened and presumably re-thread them, but this sounds like too much effort. I've been told the standard bolts are pretty decent so I'm going to stick with them, unless someone knows of a "plug and play" ARP stud I can use.
Apparently the rod bolts are a known weak point on 18R bottom ends once you start to rev them, and the good news is you can use 22R bolts down there. I'm planning to use a set for my engine.
