Registered: May 2002	Re: 1g-gte missing Tue, 17 February 2004 08:00 When you tried defferent coils - were they new ones? and did you clean the spark plugs when you swapped coils? I had endless amounts of nightmares with my car missing - Finally I bit the bullet and bought brand new coils (after swapping between some second hand ones) and finally after replacing the coils with new ones (oh and new ignitors coz I extra money to throw away ) I took the car for a spin and it missed again - like nothing had changed. After cleaning the plugs (AGAIN, and I had replaced them with new ones at least 4 times previous) it ran beautifully. I can only suggest that the plugs were fouled from the missing. Like yourself, the missing in my engine was above 5K on boost. It is at this point that an ignition system has to work damn hard. My remedy - new plugs and new coils. I will almost guarantee that the coils will be at the base of the problem. [Report message to a moderator]
