There will be 2 cables, one to your pedal, and one to the tranny (at least there was on every other Toyota I have looked at). As for the repercussions, I have no idea. I also have no idea if its adjustable, and if it is, how to do it, but its worth a try. Failing that just manually shift it back a gear as you go up the hill, and tap it back forward when you reach the top. Its not that hard. [Report message to a moderator]
