you might be able to source parts from NZ we used to have them there too, be hard pressed to find one in good condition there though, too much salt air takes care of that... for $8K thats a pretty good buy brand new... i would hazard a guess that youd have trouble with compliance but ph the rta and see what they say. you may have to submit a car for crash test which works out to blow the budget  ,unless they bought the Oxford out to aus? then it will be very easy to compliance.
