2TGEU block is the same as ? Sun, 22 February 2004 14:06 Go to previous message
I want/need to make some brackets for an alternator and Supercharger. I have an original 2tgeu in my TA22. To make the job a hell of a lot easier I want fabricate them using an unused engine block. So I was hoping you guys would know what blocks are suitable for this. The plan is to supercharger the engine (not just have the SC sitting off the side for looks) so the crank needs to be changed for a wide belt pulley (I believe i can use a 4age substitute). However reading another persons notes they claim the sleeve attatched to the crank pulley needs to be lengthened. So I wonder shall I get a donor block (eg; 2T, if the bolt holes are same) and fabricate the mounts, then slide the crank over for alignment? Or will it prove pointless due to crank differences between the 2T/2TG ?

If there is no substitute for a 2TGEU block, then has anyone got a spare block lying around? Obviously it need not be running.
My celica is still a daily driver, so I wish to be able to just transplant the gear over Very Happy (optimistic I know)
