RA23 throttle linkage

my friend got himself a celica and its got the i'm guessing original throttle linkage where its metal mounts and linkages and so forth and his gas pedal has heaps of free play and just doesn't feel right anyone got ideas on how to fix this and make it nice and tight again? where are the adjustments?
i got no idea as my car uses a cable link up which is much more simple.
