This band has been out of use since the late 80's early 90's. We only use 'K' (~24ghz) and 'Ka' (~34ghz)bands. Laser is laser and uses light instead of microwaves. Fixed speed camera's...certainly those in NSW use piezo strips under the road and simply can not be detected by a radar detector. And i'd be very interested to find out how these detectors pick up red light camera's. As they do not use any form of emitted signal be it laser or microwave which can be detected. cheers struan.
