I would say that the RTA have tightened up the requirements for Engineers then. Previously Engineers would sign off 1J swaps on the basis that the same engine is used in low volume complied Soarers and therefore must satisfy the emission requirements. Looks like now you have to get the paperwork to satisfy the bureaucracy. No wonder the test facility is booked out. OK, try Athol Mullen of Mullen Automotive Engineering (4956 8030).
