I was not at all advocating a welded diff, rather illustrating that it made a significant difference when power was delivered to two wheels.. do not weld the diff in a high powered car if you have not experienced the "subtle" nuances involved with this setup before! my point : 180 rwkw with one wheel being driven will definetly have major traction issues, so be prepared for that! (tyre/wheel combo will have little to do with combating this) I owned a ta22 with a very well setup rear end with a brand new LSD, and it was infinetly better than the CIG variety .. (except in the fun stakes!) .. my advice - if you are really going to be making 180rwkw - spend the extra and get the power to the ground (ie; use something other than an open wheel standard diff - I'd be surprised if it lasted very long with that power anyways...) ..
