from Haynes Repair Manual, SV21:
Problem: Engine lopes while idling or idles erratically:
1. Vacuum leakage
2. Leaking EGR Valve
3. Air Filter clogged
4. Faulty or misadjusted carburettor (not likely since most are EFI)
5. Fuel Pump not providing sufficient fuel to Fuel Injection System
6. Leaking Head Gasket
7. Timing Belt and/or pullleys worn
8. Camshaft lobes worn
