oh cool, i'd heard a little about the elec assisted turbos... will be a whole bunch of gadgets coming with the higher voltages..
VNT looks like a great way to make current turbos more efficient. In the aftermarket scene it is the dynamic range of the turbo that is important (for street cars) and it will be interesting to see how the elec ones work for this, rather than the relatively limited range of production motors.
yeah, light off time has been an issue for some time... i like the idea of fuel/air injection and burning in an exhaust combustion chamber to heat it up faster... mmm NAWWS
so when's the next garrett tour? i should hit them up for a job i'm suprised they don't use much in the way of thermal barrier coatings already.
