Before I put any import 7M engine into a car I pull the head and replace the gasket. Also repace all the engine lines as they like to blow out too.
Of course buy purely on condition.
Even though the engine may have been tested before being shipped over here there is a lot that can happen between there and here.
Remamber the engines have to be washed for customs too and I have been caught out getting water in the import engines thanks to the brains in customs filling them up. The engines then sit in the importers yard for unknown time and get no attention while sitting there rusting away.
It is purely hit and miss when it comes to import engines.
