planning to do up a MR (maybe motorbike engine) starlet(hopefully a road legal one)
i was reading some mini mags, and people has done MR motor bike mini......
I really want to do up a starlet with the engine at the back!!
First idea
a motorbike engine is compact,there are 2 main problems
1 it is designed to drive chain
2 it doesn't have reverse gear
and heaps of other problems, speedo , techo , gearlikeage........etc,etc.
i reckon the easiest way to solve the first problem is let the chain drive the car.so we need a custom shafts and connect them to the bike sprocket.
for the reverse gear I reckon some bike touring bike does actually has reverse motor , it sound a bit doggy but hopefully it will let the car reverse.
Second idea
i get a MR2 half cut and try to fit everything in to the starlet. Life is so much easier than doing a bike conversion
project car!!!
