at 180hp thats damn good, could be a later generation of motor out of an MR2 they fit straight into the FWD celica, In japan they also had an ST182 GT-R (wans't released over here) which had a 3SGE Gen2 in it, but the gen2 doesn't make 180hp.

Japan also had the gen1 with a U instaed of a C, whatever they exactly mean. actually thinking of it that one 3S-GELU makes 160hp that came in the ST162 GT-R in japan (linking back to original post) they needed it cause the 4WS made them a bit heavier.
