Fair enough, they are a prick, and i'd hate to chip the ceramic exhaust wheel.
All of the CT26's i've rotated have been tight as, even after soaking in diesel for a week, they still need a knife blade hammered into the join between the core & exhaust housing to edge them apart bit by bit.
Whoever you get to do it, make sure they clean out all the carbon deposits in the joint, and apply plenty of anti-sieze to the surface to make it easy next time
