Mine are denso aswell I think. The platinum plugs are pretty expensive. I read somewher that the GEs use platinum whereas the 4AFEs etc use just standard plugs. When I first got my car I took it to a decent mechanic (got timing belt done), he also had a look at the spark plugs while I was there and showed me the electrode. The electrode came to almost a point (like a little cone), he said the platinums last for ages and these don't need replacement. Check yours, if the electrode is rounded then they will need replacement (check for colour and deposits aswell). If they look alright I wouldn't bother replacing (I've done 50 000km on mine and they weren't new when I got the car, and they're still going strong)
