Problem is I don't know if it has "forgies" in it or not! And yeah I'll probably take the head off - gotta now I can't take the pistons out the bottom.
Would rather look at head as well, but need more money. I've got about 4 grand for the swap/rebuild, but I want 1 and a half grand for the new computer.
The guys at BD4s (assholes) said that it was blowing 74% out of the no 6 cylinder, and it was blowing into the sump - blown rings. I'll make sure I get a seccond opinion before I spend money on a new engine.
The compression isn't too bad, just the leak in the last cylinder.
I might have the numbers ...
Compression: 155, 170, 155, 145, 165, 132.5 Leakdown test: 12%, 6%, 18%, 32%, 12%, 74%
This cost me $436.91 as they took 3 and a half hours to do that. ... factor a set of ignition leads ($173.73). The guy was a real asshole when he told me though, thats why I'm shitty with them. And the fact that it took half an hour to write out a list for them ... and they did NOTHING on the list.
Will have to switch computers before running 25psi through it, but am looking forward to it.
