outside was 35? and 90+% humidity

I would be like fish on a dry land in that kinda climate!

dude - you need a gt4 - and to get out on that road Tommi makkinen style

I prefer GT4 and Ari Vatanen style. Smile

Imagine all how much salt is thrown on the road to make it drivable

They do salt awfully much roads in Finland but not that iceroad. Think about melting hole in the ice by salting it. All the cars would sink in the ocean. There's like 20meters of chilly water bellow that ice deck.

It's common statement here that "All the rust in the world comes from Finland".

have you ever touched some metal with your bare hands. Like what happened in the army if you picked up your gun with bare hands after camping?

Many times and I bet that you have touched too Smile . It's ok to touch metal in below zero degrees as long as you have dry hands. It just feels bloody cold.
I once made a mistake when I was chancing frozen water separator/fuel-filter to forrest machine. There was about -25C. I had fuel-oil all over my hands and then I grapped to filter cap. That aluminic cap freezed to my hand and I had to rip it off. That peeled layer or two of skin from my right hand finger tips and palm. My hand bleeded only little but was quite sore. Fuel-filter looked funny when it had frozen skin and hand print on it Laughing . I have also had mild frost bites in my toes which are painful. Severe frost bites causes necrosis.

In the end you dont want to touch cold metal with your bare hand.

We had to kept our assault rifles in the tent while we were in, so that those remain functional.
In the army we had an A***HOLE trainer and hes rank was one below lieutenant (there aint no corresponding rank to Sotilasmestari in English). Anyway we were shooting in the shooting track at temperature of -30C. That mean f***er didnt let as keep gloves so we all had painful trigger fingers Mad .
Im glad that my statutory liability to military service is over.

BTW. I have some action pictures coming up.
