from memory the stg 1gs run at 38psi, have you thought the mere fact that you are running a higher fuel pressure with a stock computer with the same boost stettings that the car might be overfueling. However this might be unrelated to your problem, had a mates car who did the same thing, then it started to get worse and worse till you could not even rev the car cause it kept popping, tis was the fuel pump, suggest you have that checked aswell.
