Fri, 12 March 2004 04:08 i beg to differ.The e boost system is PROGRESSIVE opening which means if you are attempting to hold the valve dead shut until say 15 psi its partially open at much lower boost than that.in fact with it set at 15 psi its aready opening at just over 9 psi . It wont just snap open .It cant its not designed that way The e boost WILL however bring boost on much faster than stock (YES!! TESTED ON A BENCH BY A PNEUMATICS ENGINEER). in practise and on the dyno MAX boost was achieved 400 rpm sooner by adding my valve to the e boost (at ANY setting) on a 1/4 mile run it earnt the owner 2 tenths considering he has spent thousands for a 1/2 second gain he was very happy with 2 tenths for $159 we tested the e boost because if they had produced a valve that worked well we would have purchased the valves form turbosmart and used them in our own electronic system .we cant get a good enough result from an electronic so we dont produce them also if you check with turbosmart im sure they wont recommend having the valve mounted VERY close to the compressor housing due to heat . The closer you mount a pressure relief valve to the compressor housing the faster boost comes on i have mounted my valve DIRECTLY to the compressor housing on a car before .with ZERO heat probs Having said that i think e boost IS a GREAT system but not worth the $$ for the average enthusiast . if you MUST go electronic at least buy the e boost if you want the same or most likely better result for less than 1/2 price buy mine [Report message to a moderator]
