Fri, 12 March 2004 04:20 yes it is progressive when it is not set correctly, if you set all the functions CORRECTLY it will not allow any pressure to the wastegate until it reaches the boost setting you put in, and yes this does work as i have tested it on my own car, there are no instructions on how to hook these up to a external gate properly so if you hook them up the internal gate way you will not get the features of holding the gate shut, there is a trick to hooking it up and it took me weeks to work it out. when you hook it all up correctly with a internal gate the soloniod does not pluse until the preset Gate pressre is reached, when the soloniod is not plusing the line from the boost source is totaly cut off from the line to the wastegate, when the set pressure is reached it opens, trust me this works perfectly when set correctly, with a external gate it pumps boost into the top of the gate and holds the valve shut until you reach the preset boost level, then it releases the pressure on the top so the gate can open, to hold boost correct it pluses the soloniod to pump boost into the top of the gate to open and close the valve, Dale [Report message to a moderator]
