The fuel system costs a bit, 300 for an efi pump and 100 for the lift pump, then the surge tank (I made my own) and all the hoses/filters etc. prob over 500 bucks for the fuel alone!!
Also, I did't use a new radiator, I just had mine flushed and had the outlets moved, cost like 50 bucks. My temp guage never goes above 1/3.
Tailshaft shortening isn't required, although you will need a thermofan. there is no way of getting the old fan behind the radiator.
I probably got away with about 2 grand to do mine, although that was with some luck and i haven't upgraded the brakes yet.
